What’s Next For The Warzone Event?
After the Destruction Of Verdansk, Activision provided an update via the official Call of Duty Twitter account urging Warzone players to head over to Rebirth Island (Night Mode):
- 2 PM PT – Seek safety from Verdansk on Rebirth Island
- 9 PM PT – Update your comms (console) and investigate Rebirth Island
- 12 PM PT on 4/22 – Return tomorrow to Rebirth for updated instructions
For now, players can check out the updated Rebirth Island and continue to investigate when Black Ops Cold War and Warzone Season 3 goes live later tonight.
Here’s the new message of the day and featured playlists:
“Aftermath: Rebirth Island
Nuclear Fallout engulfs Verdansk. Get a glimpse of what happens next. Drop into Rebirth Island and battle all night in limited-time versions of Resurgence, Mini-Royale, and Kingslayer. Search for clues amid the aftermath.”
Furthermore, Rebirth Island has gone through some changes. Here’s what we noticed so far:
- The Rebirth Island Night Mode featured playlists are set 15 minutes after The Destruction Of Verdansk
- Construction is now called Control Center
- The hole in the prison is gone
- There are also 5 nukes scattered throughout Rebirth Island
- You can actually see Verdansk post-nuke when looking west
We’ll continue to make updates to this article to detail anything else that is found on Rebirth Island or when more information is revealed.
What Happened During Part 1?
A few hours ago, The Destruction Of Verdansk Part 1 went live. Unfortunately, server issues prevented many players from accessing the event but, there were still some players who were lucky enough to enter the game and see the end of Verdansk.
Long story short, zombies overran Verdansk, the plan to exfil failed, and the map was nuked.
Due to these server issues, Activision actually extended The Destruction Of Verdansk another hour.
