Warzone New Map Set For April After Nuke Event

Everyone has been waiting and begging for a new Warzone map or significant changes to Verdansk for months now. Call of Duty Warzone has recently added the Rebirth Island Map, but this map is much smaller in scale to current Verdansk. It also has a much lower player count and a completely different feel than the 150 player experience that the current Warzone map has to offer.

Needless to say it didn’t quench the thirst for new content that players currently have.

Since it’s launch on March 10th 2020 Warzone has only added a small amount of map updates and new locations for players to explore. Here’s a list.

This is all set to change according to VGC’s latest report, which states that Warzone is set to change to it’s next map – believed to be in the Ural Mountains – in April to coincide with the end of Season 2. Something to start this all should be set for around March 11th, the first anniversary for Call of Duty: Warzone.

Leaker Tom Henderson Reveals New Warzone Post Nuke Info

According to Tom Henderson Verdansk will not be playable in any form moving forward for Warzone. This answers many fans questions of whether or not Verdansk would remain a playable map, similar to how PUBG has multiple maps available to choose from.

This adds further evidence to support what VGC said in their report, that this Season would be the last to take place on Verdansk. As always leaks should be taken with a grain of salt, however both VGC and Tom’s credibility is nearly as high as it comes concerning Call of Duty Warzone leaks.

This also is always subject to change. It’s been shown by Apex Legends, who previously tried to completely remove their original map for a completely new one, that map choices for a Battle royale are always subject to change based on several factors.
