It is NOT cancelled as previous leaks and rumors have suggested, but is on pace in the Fall of 2021.https://t.co/e1MNBLcdFs#CallofDuty #Warzone
Sledgehammer Games is probably best known for its work on Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare and Call of Duty: WWII.
The studio was originally set to develop Call of Duty 2020 alongside Raven Software but, Activision would later hand the development of the title over to Treyarch. Of course, this ultimately led to Black Ops Cold War.
Back in May 2019, Kotaku reported on this news and why the shake-up happened. Basically, it was said that there was tension between Raven Software and Sledgehammer Games.
In late 2020, Sledgehammer announced the hiring of over 150 new people. So, it’s safe to say that the studio has gone through a major overhaul since Kotaku’s 2019 report.
Will Call Of Duty 2021 Integrate With Warzone?
Activision also confirmed that Call of Duty 2021 will be integrated with Warzone.

This was expected, what we still need to know is if it will receive its own map, similar to Cold War’s 1984 Verdansk.
What Will COD 2021 Be Called And What Can Players Expect?
Sadly, the publisher did not reveal an official title for COD 2021. However, as previously reported, the working title for the game is Call of Duty WWII: Vanguard.
Furthermore, the game will feature a campaign, multiplayer, and cooperative modes. The game is being built for a next-gen experience.
We’re so excited to be leading the charge on @CallofDuty this year and can’t wait to share more. https://t.co/pMuaFybT1r
