Modern Warfare Update Adds Drainage And Al-Raab Airbase Back To Map Rotation

Late last night, Infinity Ward announced a new playlist update for Modern Warfare.

This update officially brings Drainage and Al-Raab Airbase back to the game. Furthermore, Al-Raab Airbase is getting a 24/7 playlist and Infinity Ward is removing Search and Destroy Double Down.

Back in April, both maps were shockingly added to the game alongside the classic Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare map, Killhouse.

However, Drainage and Al-Raab Airbase weren’t quite ready for release just yet. Infinity Ward would soon remove both maps, citing that they “need a bit more love before returning.”

On June 29th, the game also received a new Rainbow Sparkles Tracer Pack. Even though this is a Modern Warfare bundle, it should be noted that you can also purchase it in Warzone as well.

Following this playlist update, it’ll be interesting to see if Infinity Ward ever decides to officially add the CX-9 SMG, RAAL MG, and the Soap Operator Bundle to Modern Warfare/Warzone.

With Call of Duty 2021 right around the corner, there’s a chance Infinity Ward may just hold off on all this content until Call of Duty 2022 (which is rumored to be some kind of sequel to Modern Warfare).

That said, maybe the developer could eventually surprise release the rest of the content just like Drainage and Al-Raab Airbase.
