Firebase Z, A New Black Ops Cold War Zombies Map, Will Release On Feb. 4th
Via a blog post, Treyarch has just announced a new Black Ops Cold War zombies map called “Firebase Z.” Here’s a snippet of the blog post.
“With the destruction of the WWII-era ‘Projekt Endstation’ site after investigating the otherworldly Dark Aether anomaly in Poland, Requiem now sets its focus on the latest Dark Aether outbreak site: Outpost 25, known by the code name ‘Firebase Z.'”
Treyarch announced that more info would be coming on 115 Day along with other updates players should expect to see in the future.
Firebase Z will launch on February 4th and will be free for all players.
The Dark Aether story continues in Season One.

It’s somewhat surprising to see Firebase Z part of the game’s first season. Although previous leaks, rumors, and pieces of intel suggested that this would be the next zombies map, Treyarch did state that the next map would be coming at the start of Season 2.
This is fantastic news for Black Ops Cold War zombies players. It seems that the mode has been received extremely well so far. But, one of the largest criticisms of the mode is a lack of meaningful content (especially when it comes to maps). Hopefully, the next few weeks will breathe new life into the mode.
Today, Cranked will be added to Die Maschine. This mode will act much like the multiplayer version. Kill zombies to reset the timer. If the timer hits zero, you die. PlayStation players will also receive more content in the Onslaught mode with Raid.
That’s not all. Starting today and running to January 21st, Black Ops Cold War zombies will be free for everyone through their platform’s store page.
