New Rumors Suggest That Some Sort Of Christmas Event Is Coming To Black Ops Cold War Zombies
It looks like multiplayer and zombie modes are getting into the holiday spirit with Black Ops Cold War Season 1. Alongside the rumored Nuketown ’84 Christmas variant, there are now reports that more festive content is coming to Black Ops Cold War zombies as well.
According to notable Call of Duty insiders The Cheeseburger Boys, new Christmas-themed voice lines and round music can be found in the game files. Some of these voice lines include:
- “Naughty or Nice”
- “Someone’s been good this year”
- “Ho Ho Ho”
- “Time Extended”
- “Jingle Hells”
Along with this, dataminer Nanikos posted screenshots of the rumored zombies and Plaguehound Christmas variants over on Twitter. The Plaguehound design, in particular, is pretty hilarious. You can see those screenshots down below.
Of course, it should be said that none of this is official and you should take all this information with a grain of salt until we hear something from Treyarch or Activision.
That being said, it would make total sense for zombies to get some sort of Christmas event either at the launch of Season 1 or soon after. Activision has seen a ton of success and positive reactions to their Call of Duty holiday events so far. For evidence of this, just look at Modern Warfare’s The Haunting of Verdansk Halloween event. Plus, the slight change of scenery would probably be a welcomed sight for zombies players who only have one map to play on.
