AUG, Flak Jacket, Ninja, And More Reportedly Nerfed In Black Ops Cold War

While we have yet to see the official 12/15 patch notes for Black Ops Cold War, users have been reporting on the notable adjustments made to the game’s weapons and perks.

We’ve been covering everything over on Twitter but, if you are looking to find all the reported weapon and perk changes all in one quick article, here’s a breakdown.

Drift0r, a popular YouTuber and content creator, reported on several changes to Black Ops Cold War’s weapons.

Players will probably be excited to see that the FFAR is has received a buff. Ever since being nerfed after the game’s launch, the FFAR has been the butt of many jokes. Maybe now, the weapon will actually become viable again rather than having the firepower of a nerf gun.

Not too long ago, there were reports that Treyarch wanted to nerf both the M16 and AUG tactical rifles. Drift0r said that the M16 has remained untouched but, the AUG has received a slight nerf.

While it hasn’t been confirmed (yet), it looks like shotguns have received a heavy nerf too.

According to players, Treyarch has also made several changes to its perks in this latest update.

Flak Jacket and Ninja have been nerfed. This quote from professional Warzone player Drakota says it all.

However, some perks have actually been buffed. In particular, Spycraft has added resistance to Field Mics.

Black Ops Cold War Season 1 brings new maps, modes, weapons, blueprints, and more to the immensely popular first-person shooter. Black Ops Cold War will officially integrate with Call of Duty: Warzone on December 16th. This is also when Season 1 officially launches.

What are your thoughts on this update? Is there any other weapon balancing or perk changes? Are you excited for Season 1? Let us know in the comment section below.

  1. Zombies mode:
Starting loadouts lose all attachments after pack a punch. At least for the Gallo. Can’t equip any attachments whatsoever.

  2. Gallo nerf includes not only a slower fire rate but it holds a less ammo in the magazine and less ammo overall after it’s been through the pack a punch
