Black Ops Cold War Split-Screen Is Having Some Problems…
Sadly, the Call of Duty franchise is very familiar with invisibility glitches that constantly frustrate players. The current glitch in Black Ops Cold War is no different.
Basically, when playing through a few games in a row via split-screen, you could encounter a bug where all other players in a lobby will be invisible.
If you do get unlucky enough to discover this glitch, the only thing you will see are floating weapons from the other players in the lobby. This is a terrible bug for split-screen players. However, it does make for a slightly amusing visual.
For evidence of this, take a look at this Reddit post from user u/Bradwtv.
This isn’t a new problem, either. There are several other examples of this issue over on Twitter dating back to December.
As of right now, there appears to be only one fix for this problem. And it’s definitely an annoying one. To combat the invisibility glitch for split-screen, players will have to exit the game and fully restart their console.
Somehow, this invisibility glitch seems to be the tip of the iceberg when it comes to split-screen problems.
If you take a glance at the comment section of the Reddit post above or look over at Twitter, you’ll find a plethora of issues for split-screen support.
Hopefully, with the bug getting more and more traction online, it will catch the eyes of Treyarch and the developer can finally resolve the issues. Split-screen may not be as huge as it once was but, it’s still a pretty major feature. Especially in multiplayer games like Call of Duty.

Tried to play a game of zombies with my son on split screen. He was just a floating gun and I was missing my head. Also the zombies were invisible and the map wouldn’t load all the way. It made the game pretty interesting and difficult.
Me and my boyfriend play call of duty as date nights… We have bought every one so far and have enjoyed them all…cold war is definitely making date night not so fun…the invisible people show up after the first game…we tend to just play BO3 since there is no sense in even trying to play cold war….hopefully it gets fixed soon
This is why player made games should be a part of Call of Duty. Host should be given permission on casting out any toxic players. Casting out players way back on SOCOM was a great help to maintain control. CODs current method is to report and either spend the rest of the match with the toxic player(s) or to simply quit out. Neither choice do I care for. Though besting a cheater always feels great.
Yes after two games as lol you could see were weapons.

Why haven’t they still not fix this glitch yet , it’s no fun at all
We experience this exact issue EVERY TIME we play split screen! It’s irritating to have to exit game and rejoin our party if we both want to play a second game.
Yeah, it’s a really annoying process.
