Treyarch Shares Mid-Season Preview For Black Ops Cold War
While dropping the January 7th patch notes for Black Ops Cold War, Treyarch also revealed more content coming to multiplayer and zombies.
Starting with multiplayer, the studio will introduce the new 6v6 Dropkick mode. In this playlist, players will fight over nuclear launch codes. A new Fireteam map, called Sanatorium, is being added to the game as well.
This Sanatorium location is rumored to be part of the new Call of Duty: Warzone map along with the other Fireteam Dirty Bomb locations.

The lake on the upcoming Sanatorium map will be the lake that was previously leaked to be in the middle of the Warzone map.
This could mean swimming mechanics and water vehicles will be added to #Warzone in the future!
Zombies mode is getting some new, much needed, content too. Raid is being added to the Onslaught game mode (additional intel included). But, as we all know, Onslaught is a timed-exclusive for PlayStation players. For all platforms, Treyarch is adding Cranked to zombies.
If you don’t know what Cranked is, it’s typically a multiplayer mode where you are essentially a ticking time bomb. When the timer hits zero, you die. To add more time, you must kill other players. The zombies version will act much like multiplayer. Kill zombies to keep you alive.
Before jumping into the patch notes, Treyarch also teased that there will be more Season 1 content, on top of this mid-season update, coming down the road.
This Black Ops Cold War mid-season 1 update will be available on January 14th.
