We’re a little over one week away from the launch of Black Ops Cold War and Activision’s James Mattone has now officially announced a ton of new details.
Black Ops Cold War File Sizes (At Launch)
2019’s Modern Warfare was heavily criticized for its comically large file sizes. Unfortunately, that’s going to continue with Black Ops Cold War. Let’s take a look at how much space this game is going to take up:
- PlayStation 4 – 95 GB
- Xbox One – 93 GB
- Xbox Series X – 136 GB
- Xbox Series S – 136 GB
- PlayStation 5 – 133 GB
You may notice that PC is absent from this list. That’s because Treyarch have updated the file size numbers for PC:
- Full Game – 82 GB
- Multiplayer Only – 35 GB
- Full Game On Ultra Graphics – 125 GB
Players on consoles and PC will be able to uninstall certain modes to save space.
When Can You Preload Black Ops Cold War?
Here’s when you can begin preloading the latest Treyarch Call of Duty title:
- PlayStation 4 – November 5th at 9 PM PT
- Xbox One – November 5th at 9 PM PT
- PC – November 10th at 10 AM PT
- Xbox Series X – November 10th
- Xbox Series S – November 10th
- PlayStation 5 – November 12th
If you pre-ordered Black Ops Cold War digitally, the game should automatically download on your platform’s preload date. If not, Activision has recommended that you should head over to your platform’s store:
“If you purchased a digital version of the game, but it is not downloading during the pre-load period, visit your platform’s respective first-party store and follow the prompts to begin the download. Ensure your console is also updated to the latest firmware before attempting to pre-load the game.
On PC, Black Ops Cold War can be found under ‘Partner Games’ in the Battle.net Launcher.”
Black Ops Cold War Pre-Order Bonuses
By pre-ordering the game on any platform, you’ll get the Confrontation Weapon pack that contains two weapon blueprints and the Woods Operator pack for Modern Warfare and Call of Duty: Warzone.
