Activision Announces Black Ops Cold War And Warzone Season 4 Roadmap
In a new recent blog post, Activision has officially revealed the roadmap for Black Ops Cold War and Warzone Season 4. Here are the highlights:
When Does Season 4 Start?
Black Ops Cold War players should receive the Season 4 update on June 16th at 12 AM ET. For Warzone players, the Season 4 update will be available on June 17th at 12 AM ET.
All of the Season 4 content will officially go live on June 17th at 12 AM ET.

- Xbox Series X/S – 31 GB

Alongside the file sizes for the Black Ops Cold War Season 4 update, Activision noted:
“Note: PC users will also need 60.6-92.1 GB of additional space on their hard drive for the copying process; this is only temporary space that is reclaimed upon completion of the patch installation and is not an additional download.”

New Operators Include Jackal, Salah, And Weaver
- Jackal (Warsaw Pact) (Available At Launch)
- Included in the Season 4 Battle Pass
- At Tier 0 of the Season 4 premium Battle Pass, players will receive the Jackal operator.
- By getting to Tier 100 of the Season 4 premium Battle Pass, players will also receive an Ultra-Rarity skin for Jackal. Activision and Treyarch will reveal more about the Ultra-Rarity skin and other Battle Pass tiers on June 15th.
- Salah (NATO) (Available Later In Season 4)
- Later in Season 4, Salah will be available to purchase via a store bundle.

New And Returning Game Modes
- Multi-Team: Sat-Link (Available At Launch)
- 10 squads of 4 will compete to power up a satellite. Your goal is to reach the Satellite, power it up, and keep it powered up for as long as possible. This is how you’ll gain points.
- The team with the most points at the end of the match wins. So, pretty straightforward.
- Activision also encourages players to scavenge the Ural Mountains for useful loot like Scorestreaks.
- One In The Chamber (Available At Launch)
- One In The Chamber is back! In this free-for-all mode, players will only have a single bullet that can instant-kill enemies. You can also melee enemies to get eliminations.
- Capture The Flag (Available Later In Season 4)
- Pretty self-explanatory. Capture the enemy flag and take it back to your base. Players will also have to defend their own flag as well.
Zoo Added To Outbreak And Other Black Ops Cold War Zombies Content
- Zoo (New Outbreak Region) (Available At Launch)
- Includes new intel and main story quest that serves as the prelude to the next round-based map.
- Collateral (Onslaught) (Available At Launch)
- Includes new intel.
- Rush (Onslaught) (Available Later In Season 4)
- Onslaught Accelerated (Onslaught) (Available Later In Season 4)
- A new limited-time game mode.
- Legendary LMG Weapon Blueprint (Onslaught)
- Complete a certain challenge in Onslaught to receive a Legendary LMG blueprint.
New Round-Based Zombies Map Coming Later In Season 4
In the blog post, Activision officially revealed the title for the next round-based Black Ops Cold War zombies map.
Titled “Mauer der Toten” (translated to “Wall of the Dead”), this map will feature a zombie-infested East Berlin and will arrive in mid-season (July 2021).
Warzone Content Coming In Season 4
- Verdansk Resurgence Mini (Available At Launch)
- Much like Rebirth Island Resurgence.
- Available in Quads, Trios, Duos, and Solos.
- Payload (Available Mid-Season)
- A new objective-based mode.
- You and 39 other operators are tasked with either escorting 2 caravans to a destination or sabotaging the caravans.
- Activision will share more details about this mode at a later date.
- Satellite Crash Sites (New POIs) (Available At Launch)
- Downtown Tower (Formerly Known As Nakatomi Plaza) (Available At Launch)
- The Red Doors (Available At Launch)
- This is reportedly a new fast-travel system.
- Hijacked (New Gulag) (Available At Launch)
- Dirt Bike (New Vehicle) (Available At Launch)
Ground Fall Event
Season 4 begins with the new Ground Fall limited-time event. Complete objectives in Black Ops Cold War and Warzone to earn some sweet rewards.
Once every challenge is completed, players will be rewarded with an Epic Secondary Weapon Blueprint “that is truly out of this world.”

- To send a gift, you must have 2-factor authentication enabled on your Activision account.
- It sounds like Activision still has some things to work out regarding Battle Pass Gifting. The publisher will reveal more about how the system will work and its limitations on June 15th.
