Treyarch Announces Double XP Weekend For Black Ops Cold War And Warzone
Thankfully, a new year is right around the corner. This is usually the time of year where people reflect on the past 12 months and set new goals for the next 365 days. It’s also a time for celebration. What does this have to do with Call of Duty, you may ask? Well, Treyarch plans to celebrate the start of 2021 with another Double XP weekend for Warzone and Black Ops Cold War.
Starting on New Year’s Eve at 10 AM PT, players on Black Ops Cold War and Warzone can earn Double XP. This will run throughout the weekend and end on January 4th at 10 AM PT.
It should be fairly easy to grind out some XP in both games. Raid 24/7 and Nuketown Holiday 24/7 are sticking around in Black Ops Cold War.
Over on Warzone, Rebirth Island just received some major changes. Most notably, the map only includes a playlist for Rebirth Island Quads. But, it doesn’t stop there.
When you spawn onto Rebirth Island, you’ll notice that a good chunk of the map is soon to be cut off by the incoming gas. This means that matches will most definitely end a lot quicker. Also, you probably won’t be able to complete the Rebirth Island easter egg either.
Instead of initially landing onto Rebirth Island with a self-revive kit, players will now be sent to the gulag upon their first death.
